How to install any version of window from USB Stick easiest way

The use of Optical Drives is certainly reduced as USB storage devices have taken their place offering additional benefits. Seriously, I too use my DVD Drive for Formatting and re-installing so, here’s an easiest way to install any version of Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7, 2003, 2008) using Bootable USB stickor Pen Drive.
Until few years ago, such an operation required the use of the command prompt and it was quite complex. Fortunately, the open source community is always ready to offer solutions that simplify life for Windows users and it is one of those fans who have made freely available software that can prepare us for the USB Drive in few steps.
You need following things:
  • Windows DVD or it’s ISO Image
  • Virtual CD or any Optical drive emulation software
  • WinToFlash
  • USB Drive (minimum capacity = 4GB)
Before starting, it is assumed that you have inserted Windows DVD in Optical Drive or mounted Virtual DVD Image.
WinToFlash doesn’t require installation, Download the ZIP file and extract it. Execute WinToFlash.exe and go to Andvanced Mode tab.
After selecting the task you want to perform, In Windows Path, Browse the Path of Drive where Windows CD / DVD is located. It is generally the emulated drive or the real drive where DVD is inserted. Set the Path of USB where Pendrive is inserted and Press “Run” Button.

Here, Windows may warn you about Formatting USB stick so, continue with it and at the end of process, you will have Bootable USB stick of Windows.
Now, Enter BIOS and set First Bootable device as USB to start installing Windows which is exactly similar to how you did it using DVD.

Divide large file into small patrs with FILE SPLITTER

The transfer of large files from one computer to another is often difficult due to size restrictions of the means of transfer. For example, some email services often limit attachment size, or an external device like a USB drive or CD-RW may not be large enough to contain the entire file. So, File Splitters are used to split large files in small sizes for transfer.

File Splitter Lite is a very small, lightweight, fast and portable tool to split any file in small size. This free program splits file according to number of parts (files) you want or the size of each file. Just Browse the file you want to split and select the output Folder to start splitting large file into small parts.
You can then easily transfer these small file segments to other Computer via USB Drive or CD. The splitted files have to be rejoined to make it working or executable. File Splitter Lite comes with Self Joining Batch Script (.bat) which on executed joins the split files in seconds. So, to join files, you don’t have to carry the program on other system as it comes with self joining script. Creating Script is optional as you can use the program itself to join those files again.

SUPERCOMPUTER

The world’s fastest supercomputer introducing by IBM

IBM will release a radical new chip which may become the world’s fastest supercomputer named Blue Waters. It will be able to do massively complex calculations in an instant and it is being housed in a special building on the Urbana-Champaign campus in a water-cooled rack to pull the heat out. It’ll be capable of achieving 10 petaflops (Petaflop is the key indicator of supercomputer performance, A petaflop = 1 quadrillion floating point operations per second) about 10 times as fast as the fastest supercomputer today. IBM is going to turn on the supercomputer in 2011.

The Supercomputer uses Power7 fuses, the flagship Power chip design with key technology from a separate “Cell” processor that was part of IBM’s Roadrunner system at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. It integrates eight processing cores in one chip package and each core can execute four tasks makes the Power7 chip special. These threads can turn an individual chip into a virtual 32-core processor. As a yardstick, Intel’s high-end Xeon processors typically have two threads per processing core. It is also using novel memory technology. In this super computer IBM has avoided ballooning and costly chip counts and elected to use a technology called E-DRAM, keeping the total number of transistors to 1.2 billion. IBM said E-DRAM will help to get the performance up of the computer. Most of the crash tests are now done on these machines. Now it’s ready to unveil.

10 tips to ace your B-school Interview

After the written exam, most management institutes invite you for the next stage of the testing procedure, which could comprise essay writing, group discussions and interviews. In fact, almost every institute uses interviews to assess the suitability of the candidate.
So what are the broad topics that you should prepare for in interviews?
There are some questions/ topics that you should be ready to address. These are:
  • Your introduction
  • Academics (especially for candidates who are currently in their final year or who have just recently completed their graduation)
  • Work experience (for candidates who are currently working)
  • Current affairs and business awareness related questions, to assess whether a candidate is aware of and can speak on broader issues of national or international importance
  • General questions such as why you wish to do an MBA, your career plans, etc
  • Your hobbies and interests
  • Your strenghts and weaknesses
Tips to prepare
  • In your introduction, try to ensure that you go beyond just repeating some mundane details about yourself. Try and make your introduction interesting by highlighting your unique qualities, interests, aims, etc.
  • It is important to also highlight your achievements in your introduction, this could impress the evaluators and go a long way in ensuring your success.
  • You could write down some points about yourself that you wish to cover in your introduction, this will ensure that you don't miss anything and may also aid in a smooth delivery on the day itself.
  • When preparing to talk about academics, you will need to revise the fundamentals/ basics of the subjects you have studied during your graduation. Application-based questions could also be asked. For example, engineers with an electronics and communication background are often asked the differences between GSM and CDMA and which technology they think is better and why etc. Similarly, a candidate with an economics background may be tested on the relevance of Keynesian theories today, especially in the light of recent global economic developments.
  • Quite often, candidates are asked about their favourite subjects and are asked questions on these. So think about which subjects you are ready to answer questions on!
  • For candidates with work experience, the panel could ask you about the company in which you work and your role, as well as your firm's major competitors, the industry in which your company operates in, etc. Plus, be prepared for questions on recent developments in the industry -- such as large M&A deals, etc.
  • Whatever your background, I strongly suggest that you read a newspaper every day. This will go a long way in helping you answer questions pertaining to GK and business awareness (besides helping you in the GD/ essay writing round as well (if any)).
  • For questions on your career goals, strenghts and weaknesses, hobbies, etc ensure that you do some introspection and above all, be honest! Do not invent some hobby or strength just to impress the interviewer. Try and think about these questions -- remember that if you mention a particular strength, you may be asked to justify it by providing an example of when you actually demonstrated that particular strength.
  • I suggest you read about the MBA course before the interview. If asked a question such as "Why MBA?", you could speak about the subjects that you are interested in or how the methodology used for teaching the course interests you -- the use of case studies, 'live projects' with companies, the summer placement experience, interactions with people working in the corporate sector through guest lectures, etc.
  • Finally, it is a good strategy to practice for the actual interview by undergoing a couple of mock interviews and seeking feedback. You will find that practice helps you improve your responses and provides you indicators on which areas you need to prepare better.

Do you know What is confidence?

A hypothetical situation where 20 CEOs board an airplane and are told that the flight that they are about to take is the first-ever to feature pilot less technology: It is an uncrewed aircraft. Each one of the CEOs is then told, privately, that their company's software is running the aircraft's automatic pilot system. Nineteen of the CEOs promptly leave the aircraft, each offering a different type of excuse.
One CEO alone remains on board the jet, seeming very calm indeed. Asked why he is so confident in this first uncrewed flight,
he replies: "If it is the same software that is developed by my company's IT systems department, this plane won't even take off.”
!!!! That is called Confidence!!!

Search file in window faster and easily

Searching for specific files is a common scenario when we have a large capacity storage drive and forget the location of copied files. For this purpose windows provides a search functionality which is handy but upto a certain level. This functionality may not be convenient for everyone as it is not very fast, moreover Windows file search requires files to be indexed to provide a fast searching. Indexing files consumes a larger space on hard drives which is again a problem for users running low on disk space. In situations like this Ultra Search is extremely helpful.
Ultra search is a windows freeware, portable application that provides faster searches with relevant results and is not heavy on system resources. It is easy to use and has extremely simple user interface.
This application differs from windows default file search as in the default technique files are indexed for faster search but in Ultra Surf there is not need to index files. It works directly with Master File Table to achieve greater search speed and no disk space consumption. It provides a simple search bar where files names can be given, at bottom you can select drive/drives to search the files from them. It gives information on file path, size, last access and last change.
Apart from searching files Ultra Search also provides useful functionality like save list, copy to clip board and print list. There are both versions, installer as well as portable which will benefit users to easily carry it and search files on others systems.
